What is Os Beatos about?
Lakes Region, southeastern Brazil. João has been unemployed since the restaurant where he worked closed its doors. Living with his father, he tries to devote himself to his duties as a young pastor in the local evangelical community. Idle and feeling unable to help those around him, let alone himself, he feels abandoned by God.
