What is Itlu Kanmani about?
Itlu Kanmani follows Rohith, a young aspiring filmmaker who gives up his dreams to care for his ailing father, Krishna, only to discover after his death that Krishna himself was a failed storyteller who sacrificed everything for his son. Through deeply emotional flashbacks, Rohith learns about Krishna’s love for Kanmani, their broken dreams, and the tragedy that forced Krishna to abandon cinema forever. Guilt-stricken, Rohith quits his corporate job and decides to live his father’s unfinished dream. With the support of Chaitra, a doctor who becomes his emotional anchor, Rohith writes and directs a film inspired by his parents’ love story. The film is produced and completed against all odds, driven by memory and love. The story culminates in a theatre where Krishna’s name finally appears on the big screen, honoring a life of silent sacrifice. Itlu Kanmani is a heartfelt tribute to parents who give up their entire lives so their children can dream.
