While searching for answers, she discovers an abandoned cabin hidden among the trees. Inside are signs of previous life and a strange drawing of a human/animal figure. As time passes, marked by days on a chalkboard, her appearances deteriorate. She becomes obsessed with the creature, covering the cabin walls with drawing and photographs. She cases it into the forest until it led her to a hollow tree and disappears. She takes a photo as proof, but as she turns back, something drags her into the darkness, dropping the camera. The final image develops, revealing not the tree, but her looking at the tree.
